The Path

Where Music, Mindfulness & Purpose Meet

Joel is a multi-passionate advocate for mindfulness, dedicated to promoting self-awareness as a path to relieving stress, emotional turmoil, anxiety, and depression. He is Grammy-nominated for his collaborations with India Arie as a songwriter and guitarist, contributing to works including "Just Let It Go," "We Are," "Hour Of Love," and "Worthy."

With more than a decade immersed in research and practice, his wellness-based offerings are grounded in real-world experience — allowing individuals to connect with their authentic selves, honor their past, and expand their potential. As the creator of the R.I.S.E. Journal, he has helped countless individuals achieve self-actualization through the practice of meditative journaling.

In his own artistic pursuits, Joel weaves together his love for nature, poetry, and guitar to produce mindful works that are both inspirational and grounding. With a practical approach to ancient meditation techniques, he helps people cultivate inner peace and emotional stability while honoring their personal truths.

Beautiful Souls

A Space to Simply Be

Through his online community, Beautiful Souls, Joel serves as a reliable source of guidance and presence for individuals on a daily basis. By centering the importance of introspection and meditation, Beautiful Souls creates a nurturing space that empowers each person to find balance and fulfillment through the practice of mindfulness.

The community is built on a simple belief: that everyone deserves a space where they can arrive exactly as they are — without performance, without pretense, without having to hold it all together. It is a place to come home to yourself.

Beyond the Practice

A Life Lived in Wonder

Beyond his work as a teacher and guide, Joel loves to spend time in the wilderness — particularly on remote hiking trails, exploring all the beauty the natural world has to offer. He is passionate about living adventurously, bravely leaping from airplanes, riding motorcycles, and journeying across the land in his trusty RV.

At the end of a long day, he likes nothing more than to relax with a good book and a piping hot cup of tea, basking in the warmth of a comforting campfire.

The practice isn't about becoming someone new. It's about coming home to who you've always been.
